I have over twenty years' experience working with children of all ages. As a mother of two, I understand the pressures that children and parents face. I believe that all people have potential; sometimes they just need some assistance in realising this.

I work with children, teenagers, adults and families and have special interests in working with children with ADHD and separated families. I am currently reading towards my PhD through UCT.

I have worked for 3 different organizations, with children, adults, elderly people and offenders. I started my career as a Social Worker. where I represented children in the Family Court System. I advocated and represented the needs of children and adolescents brought to Family Court on abuse, neglect, custody and delinquency petitions. This is where I cultivated my passion for counselling, advocacy and social justice.

With over ten years' experience working with children of different ages and abilities, I am currently studying and working towards my Bachelors of Education degree. My passion is working with children of all abilities.

Dr Shannon-Lee Henderson

During my studies at UJ I gained invaluable clinical experience treating patients in the clinic, as well as at various sporting events. I enjoy treating patients of all ages, and use a variety of techniques in my treatments including adjustments, dry needling, massage and taping. I am a dedicated and passionate chiropractor who aims to work with and educate my patients in order to improve their quality of life. I have a special interest in treating pregnant moms and babies.

Gemma Whitehead

Biokineticist

BSport Sci and BSc Biokinetics (Hons) (UP)

I graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2020 after receiving my BSport Sci and BSc Biokinetics (Hons) with distinction. I spent a year at the Sports, Exercise, Medicine Lifestyle Institute (SEMLI) of the University of Pretoria and was exposed to a variety of patients and populations. One group of individuals I was lucky enough to work with were three paralympians who competed at the 2020 Tokyo Games.

While in private practice I have gained further experience with orthopedic conditions, neurological conditions (stroke, Parkinsons and spinal cord injuries), chronic pain as well as athletic populations. I have completed additional qualifications in sports massage, mat pilates and pre and post natal exercise prescription.
